The word Reiki means “universal life energy,” referring to the unseen force believed to flow through all living things and sustain life. Reiki teaches that when this energy flows freely, a person experiences balance, clarity, and well-being; when it becomes blocked, physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering can emerge. Practitioners do not generate this energy themselves but serve as channels for it, allowing healing energy to flow through their hands, intention, and awareness.
